Unit 34 Website Design Strategy

BTEC Business Level 3 : P6 & M3

I will explain the effects of usability from the sites researched in the previous task; Asos, A College and Amazon. This includes ease of navigation and retaining customer interest etc.

For this document, I will produce a plan showing what actions the college would need to take to launch a small website. I will include maintenance and updates, customer feedback, promotion of website, security of IT systems and the typical costs of the maintenance of the site. For M3, I will provide the negatives of the various actions the college will need to take to keep the college website updated in addition to the costs and timescale.

RE: The steps needed to evaluate the website for the college shop. Objectives: The purpose of the college developing a new website was to increase their revenue stream and ensure that students have the correct equipment. Includes user acceptance testing and how involved the client would be etc.
