Summary General Linguistics
Summary for the course General Linguistics, teacher training English year 3 at the Hogeschool Rotterdam. Used book: The study of language, George Yule 6th edition. ISBN: 9781316606759
This PDF has two parts:
it starts with theory: the first - 16 pages are the topics from year 1 shortly repeated. Next, summaries of the lectures (2) follow, and next, the chapters indicated in the course book from Andy Field are summerized. In these summaries I added some extra info or images from web pages and youtube. the last three pages of this part is a short summary of each of the most important topics. This ends at page 57
The next part of the PDF consists of the practical outputs and the seminars. for the seminars I tried to make notes, as detailed as possible. These notes are inbetween the output, to clearify the output. However, the first part of this course, I had seminars during which not all problems were covered (problem 6 was not covered at all e.g.). there are thus some parts missing in these!
The output for the second parts: logistic regression and mixed models is complete and all questions are answered.
