Chapter four includes multiple sections covering topics such as the cell theory, how scientists visualize cells, electron microscopes. Additionally, they cover the attributes of cells, the major features of both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells, and explanations of organelles in the cell.

This chapter covers Atoms in general, but more specifically what they are made of, the different types of atoms such as isotopes and radioactive. Additionally, it covers their role in research and medicine, interactions among atoms, energy shells, three major bonds, and the characteristics of water molecules.

These notes cover Chapter 3 which includes why carbon is so important in molecules, how large biological molecules are synthesized, what carbohydrates are, what proteins are, what nucleotides and nucleic acids are, and what lipids are.

These notes are taken out of 'Life on Earth with Physiology' by Auderisk and Byers, 12th Edition. Topics covered include characteristics of life and an in depth look at each of the six characteristics, including photosynthesis and homeostasis. Additionally, the topics cover evolution, mutations, adaptations, levels of life, the three major domains, three principles of science, the scientific method, and controls.
